Hello all.

I'm Ashley Hopkins, a media arts and design major concentrating in print journalism, and this is my news blog!

I started this blog as part of my senior honors project but as it is now a part of Breeze Blogs, I thought it would be good to re-introduce myself. I'm news editor of The Breeze, and together with our copy editor, Kelly Conniff, have worked to increase the interactivity of our Web site by adding blogs to our homepage.

So you know how it works, I will be updating three to four times a week with news relevant to JMU and Harrisonburg communities. In the past I have even dabbled in national coverage, as these issues affect Virginia residents as well.

While I try to grab from a variety of sources, I'm just one person and I'm willing to admit that I need help! If you know of a big event I should cover on my blog or in The Breeze, let me know by leaving me a comment. I'm also open to tips and would like to use this blog as a means of knowing what you want to hear about.
